Review of the Book:
The Great Land Rush
by John C. Weaver
H. William Batt
[This book is re-issued in paperback. This review is reprinted from
GroundSwell, September-October 2006]
Bill Batt reports that the book is "fantastic, with several
references to Henry George throughout the book, and then, toward the
end, a full four pages of discussion. This book is extremely well
footnoted, a real tour deforce! The publisher, McGill Queens
University Press, apparently doesn't have a good distribution
service, so we hadn't heard about it." He says, "This is
the best book on our issue for a long time! It's as momentous as
Mason Gaffney's Corruption of Economics."
Batt recommends the book highly.
