This video tells the story of how Henry George and his close supporters in the United States attempted to forge a national activist movement and attempt to have the U.S. Constitution amended to permit direct taxation (including an income tax on gains from the sale or leasing of land). The story continues as the next generations of Single Taxers and Georgists work to influence public opinion and public policy, not only on the issue of how to raise public revenue but on the systems of money creation, credit and banking. This story is brought current to the various proposals now under consideration and discussion.
